Once your AI Agent has some Knowledge added, you can begin setting up automations to make it more effective.
Greetings shape the way the AI Agent greets end users and set the tone for the conversation. This section explains what Greetings are, how they work with variables, and how to manage previous Greeting versions. Follow best practices by keeping greetings clear, on-brand, and up to date.
Greetings are not supported on Social channels or Email. On these channels, the user always sends the first message, and the AI Agent responds using its reasoning engine—not the configured Greeting.
For example, if a user sends hello, the AI Agent may generate a greeting-like response, but this does not activate the Greeting or any associated flows.
