# Connecting multiple Agents

If you manage multiple Ada AI Agents, add each one as its own connection. Use a unique name for each Agent.

## API key authorization (recommended)

When you connect more than one AI Agent, an API key is the preferred method. You can add all AI Agents at once. No interactive login is required. Each AI Agent requires its own API key, generated from the corresponding dashboard under **Config > PLATFORM > API keys**.

See [Authentication](/mcp/introduction/authentication#api-key).

## Claude custom connectors

Add each Ada instance as a custom connector. Use a unique name for each Agent. See [Claude](/mcp/introduction/getting-started/claude).

On a Team or Enterprise plan, a Claude organization Owner must add each URL. Then each member clicks **Connect** for that Agent.

## Local helper example

If you cannot add custom connectors, use this config.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "ada-support": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["mcp-remote@0.2.5", "https://support-bot.ada.support/api/mcp/oauth"]
    },
    "ada-sales": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["mcp-remote@0.2.5", "https://sales-bot.ada.support/api/mcp/oauth"]
    }
  }
}
```

Pin the helper version in each `args` list. See [Authentication](/mcp/introduction/authentication#pin-the-local-helper-version).

## OAuth authorization flow

> **Note**
>
> **OAuth requires authorizing one AI Agent at a time.** Add and authorize each AI Agent individually:
>
> 1. Add the first AI Agent.
> 2. Complete the OAuth login for that AI Agent.
> 3. Add the next AI Agent.
> 4. Complete the OAuth login.
> 5. Repeat for each additional AI Agent.
