# Appearance settings

## Overview

Customize your emails so they match the rest of your company's branding and look just right in your customers' inboxes.

Appearance settings are configured **per email channel**. If your AI Agent has multiple email addresses, you can set a different sender name, header image, and footer text for each one — useful for regional variants or distinct brands sharing one AI Agent.

## Use cases

Appearance settings help you maintain brand consistency in email communications.

* **Match company branding**: Customize headers and footers to fit in with your company's visual identity.
* **Build sender recognition**: Use a custom sender name so end users recognize emails from your support team.

## Capabilities & configuration

Appearance settings support the following customization options.

* **Sender name**: Override the default organization name with a custom sender name.
* **Header image**: Upload an image to appear at the top of emails, with alignment options.
* **Footer text**: Add custom footer content with support for multiple [Languages](/docs/setup/languages).

## Quick start

Customize your email appearance in a few steps. See [Implementation & usage](#implementation--usage) for detailed instructions.

#### Open inbox settings

Go to **Config > CHANNELS > Email**, select the email channel you want to customize, then open the **Customization** tab.

#### Set sender name

Under **Sender Name**, enter your preferred name.

#### Add header image

Under **Header > Image**, upload a .png, .jpg, or .gif file.

#### Add footer text

Under **Footer text**, enter your footer content.

#### Save changes

Click **Save**.

## Implementation & usage

Configure your email appearance settings on the Ada dashboard.

### Change the sender's name\[#sender-name]

By default, the sender's name is your organization's name that you set in your [Persona](/docs/setup/persona/personality-setup#org-name) settings. If you would prefer the sender's name to be something else, you can customize that here.

**To change the sender's name:**

1. On the Ada dashboard, go to **Config > CHANNELS > Email**, select the email channel you want to customize, then open the **Customization** tab.
2. Under **Sender Name**, enter your preferred sender name.
3. Click **Save**.

### Customize your emails' appearance\[#appearance]

You can customize the header and footer of your email - the sections above and below the email body - so they fit in with your company's branding.

**To customize your emails' appearance:**

1. On the Ada dashboard, go to **Config > CHANNELS > Email**, select the email channel you want to customize, then open the **Customization** tab.
2. Under **Header**, modify your header settings as required.
   1. Under **Image**, upload a .png, .jpg, or .gif image to include at the top of your email. If the image is wider than 700px, a scaled down version will appear in your emails.
   2. Under **Horizontal Alignment**, select **Left**, **Center**, or **Right**, to determine the image's alignment.
3. Under **Footer text**, modify your footer settings as required.
   1. If you have multiple [Languages](/docs/setup/languages) enabled in your AI Agent, select a language from the dropdown to create footer content for.
   2. In the text box, modify the content you want to appear in the footer.
4. Click **Save**.
