# macOS

## Install

Homebrew installs adacli and keeps track of the release for upgrades.

**To install adacli with Homebrew:**

```bash
brew install adasupport/tap/adacli
```

If you do not use Homebrew, use the install script in [Linux](/adacli/getting-started/linux).

## Upgrade

Upgrade with the same method that you used to install adacli.

| Install method | Upgrade command                                                                                 |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Homebrew       | `brew upgrade adacli`                                                                           |
| Install script | Run the install script again. If you set `ADACLI_INSTALL_DIR` when you installed, set it again. |
