# Snapshots carry the image redaction setting

The [Snapshot API](/reference/snapshot-api/overview) now exports and imports the image redaction setting, in the `image_redactions` section. The section holds the 2 image types that you can let your AI Agent read: `government_id` and `other_credential`. The Agent always withholds payment card images, so the section does not include them.

* **Export**: the snapshot includes both image types. `true` means that the Agent withholds the image. `false` means that the Agent reads it.
* **Import**: the import replaces the setting on the target Agent. If the section does not include an image type, the target Agent withholds that type. If the import does not include the section, the setting does not change.
* **Validate**: a `mode: validate` run names each image type that the import changes.
* **Audit log**: if the import changes the setting, it writes one **Updated** row for **Image Redactions**.
